Payment is preferred upon registration. Checks can be made out to Ferris State University ICET and mailed to: 126 Howard St., Big Rapids, MI 49307; or send your ACH deposit form to ICET@ferris.edu for us to complete. An invoice will be sent out upon course completion for any outstanding student fees. Bring gloves for working with soils, a calculator, pen, and clipboard to class. Previous exposure to the equipment, forms, and processes is STRONGLY recommended (at least one practice test at the participant's home lab prior to attending).
Participant is required to physically demonstrate all the applicable test methods before they can obtain their certification (this is a state requirement). There is an 8-hour time limit for this practical (hands-on) exam. Should additional accommodations be needed for reasons of disability, please reach out when registering, so we are prepared to accommodate. In some instances, these accommodations may require a return visit at a later date, due to instructor availability.
As instructor staffing arrangements are made before class begins, transfers AND/OR Cancellations must be 2 weeks prior to class start date or payment will not be returned. Ferris State reserves the right to cancel or reschedule classes due to a lack of enrollment. As much notice as possible will be given in those rare instances.
